The Top British YouTubers Maintain 122M+ Subscribers Combined
Since its launch in 2005, YouTube has grown to more than 1.5 billion MAUs. Its popularity is undeniable, with the average person spending nearly two years of their lifetime on the platform. Over the years, the video-sharing site has become a home to influencers of all types, many of whom have leveraged their online fame to launch entrepreneurial endeavors.
British influencers are a particularly well-represented group on YouTube, with the top ten British creators boasting over 122 million subscribers cumulatively. From gaming to fashion, each is making their mark via streaming video content.

The Most Prominent British YouTubers Dominating Online Video
1. DanTDM
Daniel Middleton, better known as DanTDM, is a gamer and YouTube personality renowned for his Minecraft gaming videos. He maintains the most subscribers of any British YouTuber, with 19 million. He also stars in the YouTube Red series, DanTDM Creates a Big Scene, which debuted in April 2017.
Like many other YouTubers turned entrepreneurs, Middleton has expanded into media outside of YouTube. He has won multiple Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards and in 2016 published an original graphic novel.

2. KSI
YouTube personality, rapper, and actor Olajide William is the world’s second most subscribed British YouTuber. His younger brother Deji Olatunji is also a popular British YouTuber, with over nine million subscribers.
In the span of eight years, William has also transformed his YouTube career into mainstream musical success. He released an original EP Keep Up in 2016 and now has original music available on Spotify, iTunes, and more. William’s debut single has accumulated more than 24 million streams on Spotify to date.

Aiken’s fame and online reach has also led to sponsorships with brands including Monster, Alienware, and Turtle Beach. While not creating gaming videos, Aiken also runs a secondary channel called MoreAliA that includes lifestyle videos such as vlogs, Q&As, and unboxings.

4. W2S
Harry Lewis is one of the few YouTubers that can say he’s created a video starring Cristiano Ronaldo. The comedic gamer is the mastermind behind the YouTube channel W2S. Although he’s best known for his FIFA gaming videos, Lewis regularly posts challenges, pranks, and trick shot videos.
Over the course of his five years on YouTube, Lewis has amassed an astronomical 12 million subscribers. He shows little sign of slowing down and continually entertains viewers with his energetic, outgoing personality.

Zoe Sugg of the YouTube channel Zoella specializes in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle content. She creates videos of all types but is particularly well known for collaborating with other top British YouTubers, including her brother Joe Sugg and boyfriend Alfie Deyes.
Apart from her primary channel, Sugg also maintains a vlog channel with 4.8 million subscribers. Impressively, she regularly posts vlogs longer than 30 minutes each and garners view counts in the millions. Outside of YouTube she has published three books and created her own line of beauty products.

To create videos the duo uses a high-speed camera to bring a cinematic quality to videos featuring collisions, explosions, and themselves. Their most popular video to date features the pair tumbling into a giant six-foot water balloon and has garnered over 171 million views.

Aside from his main YouTube channel, Cassell also maintains a secondary daily vlog channel with 2.5 million subscribers. He posts a video every day and gives viewers an inside look at his daily life alongside family and friends. Cassell’s Twitch channel has more than 2.5 million followers, making him one of the top 10 most followed Twitch streamers.

8. ComedyShortsGamer
Brother to KSI, the first British YouTuber on our list, Deji William runs the ComedyShortsGamer channel, home to more than nine million subscribers. He posts between three to four videos a week, ranging from challenges to comedy sketches, to pranks and more.
William’s is well known for featuring family and friends in videos. He’s also started a successful clothing line called Tank that can be found on his website.

9. Stampylonghead
Born in the South of England, Joseph Garrett’s original career goal was to become a gaming journalist. He earned a degree in film and TV production and started creating let’s play gaming videos on YouTube in 2011.
Garrett is unique in that he commentates gaming videos, not as himself, but assuming the role of a feline character he invented named Stampy Cat. His content largely features Stampy Cat creatively exploring and building within the endless Minecraft World. Garrett largely credits the storytelling and production value of his videos to his university degree.
